Great Weekend For A Labor Day Hike in Tuxedo

If you're looking for something to do this Labor Day weekend, the weather is going to be excellent for a hike. Come and enjoy some of the outstanding natural surroundings here in Tuxedo!

Here's a quick 3-4 mile hike that brings you right down the business district:

- Start out at the historic Tuxedo Train Station (parking is free at the commuter lot across the tracks just off East Village Road)

- Head south toward the center of town - pass the Post Office on the left, followed by the long brick building containing Tuxedo Wines, Alpha and Omega Dental, Green Clover Nails Spa, and Tuxedo Park Preferred Properties also on the left.

- Just after Tuxedo Park Preferred Properties, make a left in between the two brick buildings:

- Cross the Ramapo River on this neat metal bridge:

- Walk to the other side of the Tuxedo skate park:

- Go through the Thruway underpass, and then make a left onto Grove Drive (photo by Suzy Allman @ MyHarriman.com):

- Walk up the hill for about 1/4 mile and hop on the trail on the right:

The trail awaits with fantastic views like this!

On your way back into town, be sure to stop at the Tuxedo Junction Inn for a tasty beer or Tuxedo Sushi for a well-deserved roll.
